There is a lot of debating going on with gender and how at this time in the world, gender isn't becoming important. For me, this isn't the case. I believe gender is so important and that we are inherently blessed with our gender and talents. In the proclamation to the world it explains, "All human beings—male and female—are created in the image of God. Each is a beloved spirit son or daughter of heavenly parents, and, as such, each has a divine nature and destiny. Gender is an essential characteristic of individual premortal, mortal, and eternal identity and purpose." I believe that this is how it is supposed to be. Women are more nurturing and loving and men or more protective and strong. Both male and female have divine roles based upon our gender this is how God designed it to be and it is one of the best ways to raise our families.
